Okay, it’s almost time for them to get their comeuppance. So far only the left lung appears to be showing signs of damage. This morning I finally got through to the specialist’s rooms and the lady there was quite helpful, at first she wasn’t sure that I was an urgent case. I told her I didn’t know since I’m no doctor, I read out the referral and her reply was “right, we’ll get you in quick!”
I don’t know that I quite like that!
First off I have to go in for a lung function test – oh joy, that’s going to be fun, I know my lung capacity isn’t wonderful as I get puffed out pretty quickly but I’ll do my best! That is in two days – so this Thursday I will have that done.
In between times I am having an appointment with my GP for a pap smear (TMI sorry guys) but it’s an important thing to keep tabs on since I’ve already had two big scares with that region and for my own benefit I need to check these things out. That’s next Tuesday, a week from today.
Thursday 21st, I go and have a thyroid and neck ultrasound so they can take another look at my thyroid, not taking chances with anything at the moment, just about everything is getting tested to make sure there’s no evils lurking elsewhere. Considering that I have reactive lymph nodes, they need to find what they are reacting to!
The the following day – Friday 22nd I will be seeing the specialist himself, I think he’s a pulmonologist or something like that – he will go through the lung function test results, check my CT scans, read all the notes and look at the copious blood test results which will help him determine where to go from there.
Wow, by that weekend I think I’m going to be absolutely exhausted – what do you think? Anyway, that’s the current information, as I find out more I will make sure that I update people since some of these things can be quite serious.
But let’s finish on some GOOD NEWS!!!
My latest blood test from last week has shown that my liver function is starting to improve so my diet as described HERE plus taking the herbal tonic is doing it’s job and saving my liver!
And that’s a real great big of news for me! I’m so happy with that!
I do apologise for being so far behind in my blog reading, but I’m sure you can all appreciate that I’ve got a lot on my mind, not to mention all the related symptoms etc… but as soon as I can rejoin the blog world properly, I will just have to do the best I can.

Good points Nola….I am lucky, though there is still a question mark about that lung but I’ve got a feeling in my gut that it’s not going to be anything too drastic!
I’m chuffed that your diet is working for and hoping your pulmonologist will be able to give you something to work with.
Take care – thinking of you.
I’m sure he will, been told by my two doctors that he’s got a great reputation so I feel confident in his ability to help me help myself get better quickly.
It is great news that your liver is starting to pick up.
Good luck with the rest of your tests and appointments.
Hugs
Thanks Shelley, you know…health issues, whether they’re physical or mental health ones, both are so scary at times, something I know you can appreciate, I’m just glad that we’re both getting all the help we need with our problems.
I know all these tests must be very exhausting and tedious but it sounds they are really trying to make sure nothing is missed. Glad the diet and tonic are paying dividends. Good luck with all the forth coming tests. (hugs)
Yes they are a little tedious but I’m happy to go along with anything they want because if there is anything hidden that we don’t know about… I DO want to know about it so it can be treated!
[[[hugs hugs hugs]]] Sending you virtual reassuring supportive encouragement, ma’am!!!!! :) :) :)
thanks so much Mal
Wow! I just got caught up and you have surely been through a lot! It does sound, however, like your doctors are finally on the ball and between them and your herbalist, some major improvement is taking place.
I need to check out that book – Because that little checklist you had there sounds just like me!
Good luck with everything – when it’s all over and done with, you may be in the very best shape (healthwise and otherwise) of your life!
It was a lot for me to take in Sayre, so went MIA for a while but so far so good, and I think you’re right, once everything is sorted I will be in the best shape ever and my body will thank me for it.
